The terroir
It all begins with the cultivation of corn on our wonderful sandy soil, carried out without irrigation with early seeds to ensure a natural drying.
Soil rotation between grain and vine, and agroforestry are at the center of our agricultural philosophy.
Single grain
The wash is produced with French partner breweries, based on a precise specification, integrating our corn and malted barley from France.
This is what sets MilHÒc apart from most French whiskies or those from other countries such as Scotland.

The column and the copper
Another singularity of MilHÒc lies in its distillation mode: small copper Armagnac still, with a column, and continuous distillation. This process, both slow and gentle, allows the future whisky to concentrate in organic matter.
As a result, our distillates have an alcohol content of around 61%, which is lower than the double distillation and allows them to be placed in casks, without the addition of water. Finally, our distillation is low carbon since it consumes little energy, and we are proud of it!!
The excellence of maturations
Our whiskies are grown in one of our historic 19th century Laubade cellars, with constant humidity and temperature, ideal for optimum maturation.
Thanks to our rich experience in the ageing of Armagnac eaux-de-vies, we have chosen exceptional oak barrels taking into account every detail; in this sense, no less than ten types of casks coexist offering a particularly wide range of styles.

Creativity and mastery, as a team
In order to give birth to an exceptional whisky, it is first necessary to know each cask perfectly in its every detail. Thanks to a tasting expertise, acquired from generation to generation at Laubade, and a meticulous tasting grid of the barrels, we have been able to detect the most subtle nuances of each cask thus revealing a rich and captivating aromatic palette.
From this knowledge, creation is born; it is done in a methodical way through numerous blind tastings, repeated trials in teams where each member brings his perceptions, his nuances, his sensitivities, etc. The art of assembly is the most accomplished combination between creativity and know-how.
Authenticity and traceability
Each bottle of MilHÒc is the result of special attention, a work of goldsmith made by hand. Neither coloration nor cold filtration for the purest expression of our whiskies.
Our passion for old spirits, our desire to respect the terroir and traditions, our commitment to a sustainable model, and finally this great freedom of creation, gave birth to this exceptional whisky called MilHÒc.(*)
